Alrighty...

Consider my wrists officially slapped.

It's been nine months since last I posted anything. Let's just say that someone new in my life gave me the motivation needed to come back to this long abandoned friend I call a blog. (Granted, it's a very neglected friend, but aren't the best ones the ones that are still there even after a long absence. Thank you, cyberspace, for not banishing this dear blog to the unknown in the time it took me to return to it!

I won't bother trying to update you with everything that has happened since last I posted. It would take ages! So... Let's break down the year, shall we?

January - Ron lost his job.

February - I turned twenty-one and took my final trip with my mother to Wendover. We saw Styx in concert and went gambling together.

March - Mom died. Gave Oreo back to CAWS.

April - Ron turned twenty-one. Sent Doolee to Idaho to live with Uncle Richard.

May - Still in shock.

June - Still in shock. Gave Rebel to the gal who was watching him.

July - Had some problems, but worked through them.

August - Dr. Bova's clinic (my employer of the previous [almost] two years) closed, leaving me unemployed. Found a great new job that isn't nearly as stressful. Ron found a job.

September - Started to get the hang of my new job. Got to know my coworker and the physicians a little better. Came back to my blog.

Hooray! 2008 in a nutshell. It hasn't been a great one thus far, but things look to be changing. [Knock on wood]

This brings you to the present. I am still the same person. A bit shy, a little over the top, married to a wonderful man and enjoying life to the fullest. After all, we never know how much longer we have on this planet. Take what you can get and roll with it. Rest in peace, Mommy.

  1. Yay, I'm glad you started writing in your blog again :). You are so dead on right when you say "After all, we never know how much longer we have on this planet. Take what you can get and roll with it." Now I just need to read that sentence every day cause its a concept that is so easily forgotten.
